Facial Treatments

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.

Microneedling may help with issues like:

  • Acne
  • Hair loss (also called alopecia)
  • Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation)
  • Large pores
  • Reduced skin elasticity
  • Scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Recommendation: A course of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results.

Dermaplaning is a procedure that exfoliates your skin and gets rid of dirt and vellus hair, better known as “peach fuzz.”

It’s different from dermabrasion, where an aesthetician or doctor uses a high-speed, rotating brush to exfoliate the skin. With dermaplaning, they use a scalpel or a tool called a dermatome. The doctor or aesthetician moves the dermatome, which looks like an electric razor, back and forth to scrape off the top layer of dead skin.

The exfoliation and hair removal can leave your skin brighter and smoother. The treatment may soften fine lines and wrinkles and ease hyperpigmentation, or uneven skin tone. It’s also used to treat deep acne scars. How well it works really depends on your skin type, tone, and medical history.

Recommendation: A course of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to remove layers of skin, revealing the more youthful skin underneath. Chemical peels can reduce or improve fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scars, uneven skin colouring and other skin imperfections. Different chemicals determine the depth of your peel and type of skin condition treated. The skin layers eventually peel off revealing more youthful skin. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles, has a more even colour and is brighter in complexion.

Chemical peels are most commonly performed on your face, neck or hands. They can help reduce or improve:

  • Fine lines under your eyes or around your mouth and wrinkling caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors.
  • Certain types of acne.
  • Mild scarring.
  • Sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, uneven skin colouring.
  • Precancerous scaly spots called actinic keratosis.
  • Rough skin, scaly patches, dull complexion.
  • Dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills.

Recommendation: A course of 3 sessions is recommended for optimal results.

Why 3D-Vjuve?

The natural ageing process, together with exposure to the sun and pollution leads to a gradual deterioration of the skin’s structure and function. This is mainly evident at the level of the epidermis and the upper papillary dermis, with a tissue laxity and skin that appears more lined, often accompanied by broken veins, wrinkles and dark spots.

Skin resurfacing is an in-demand treatment that can enhance any clinic’s service offering while providing a high earning potential, with the ability to target:

  • Pitting of the skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Enlarged pores
  • Premature ageing
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Lightening and brightening
  • Treatment for the face, neck and decollete
