What does this course cover?

We have two course options, depending on your previous skills and training: online, or online plus a day of practical training. Whether hydrating the skin or remodeling aging and sagging tissue, this intense course is aimed at advanced dermal filler users. It will help you extend your portfolios and offer elevated treatment options to satisfy clients. They will look and feel amazing with this popular treatment.

What is Profhilo and who is it for?

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid (HA) moisturising treatment. It’s made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity, improving and restoring the firmness of the skin. Containing one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64 mg / 2 ml), it not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue.

The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck, and it can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees, and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women, as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages. Patients can achieve excellent results from this treatment on its own; however you can also be combine this with other aesthetics treatments.

How does Profhilo work?

The are being treated is precisely injected with ultra-pure hyaluronic acid. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin. This attracts water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin occurs by the slow release of hyaluronic acid. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore, we cannot say that Profhilo is only a skin booster. It also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.

Our Skin Booster Training is designed for medical practitioners. We will ask for proof of your medical registration as part of our enrolment procedure.

+ - Are international delegates eligible to train?

Registered healthcare professionals from around the world are welcome to register for the course. If you are travelling from abroad, we will ask for evidence of your registration when you enrol on the course. Every country will have different rules and regulations regarding aesthetic medicine, so we advise checking these before booking your course.

+ - Where can I train with House of Medical Aesthetics?

House of Medical Aesthetics have training centres across the UK and worldwide. Our headquarters is in East London where we teach courses regularly. We also have UK training centres in Ireland, Kent, Southampton and North London.

+ - Will I be insured to inject during the training course?

Yes, you are covered under House of Medical Aesthetics' cosmetic indemnity insurance during the training course, and you can inject live patients under our supervision. Upon completing the course, you can take out your cosmetic indemnity insurance policy. We provide details of reputable insurers to all delegates.

+ - Do I need to bring my own cosmetic model with me?

We provide live cosmetic models for our practical training courses. All models are arranged by us to ensure you get lots of hands-on practical experience on real life patients. If you do have a friend or family member interested in having treatments during the training day, please let our team know and we can help them to book in as a model.

+ - Do you offer any ongoing life support after training?

After the course, you will be allocated a clinical mentor whom you will be able to contact for advice. Our mentoring correspondence list will provide communication regarding new guidance, protocols, and aesthetic regulations. We also offer refresher, 1 to 1 and online training to further your skills and experience.
